The Wandur MUD client

Wandur is a free, open source client for Windows, macOS and Linux that reads this directory, speaks the games' protocols and draws the map as you walk.

what it does

  • the directory, built in: search the same listings you see here and connect from the result
  • protocol mappings: reviewed mappings tell the client which of a world's messages carry the room and your vitals
  • resource bars: health, mana and the rest, read from those messages rather than from the screen
  • a live map: rooms and exits as you walk them, colored by terrain, with an editor for the parts a world does not report
  • per-world themes: a world can carry its own colors, and you can keep your own preset for everything else
  • scripting: triggers, aliases and a script library, kept per world
  • an assistant that can look at the transcript and react, when you ask it to
